Amir Gal-Or,
Co-Founder & Chairman of the Board. With his vast experience and expertise in
venture creation, venture investment, and strategic planning, Amir leads and
mentors Partners500's team in its business development activities with our
companies. A Managing Partner of the prestigious (US-French-Israeli) Infinity
Fund, Amir has more than 15 years of entrepreneurial experience. Previously,
Amir served as the Chairman of the Board for the nationwide Israeli Business
Development Center (BDC) network. In addition, he was the CEO of MATI High Tech
Group/MATI Ra'anana for six years. Under Gal-Or's leadership, MATI grew steadily
and gained a nationwide reputation for its expert consulting and investment
banking services. Prior to MATI, Amir founded and ultimately sold two successful
high-tech start-ups. Amir is a fighter pilot in the Israeli Air Force.
Alon Blankstein (CPA), Co-Founder & CEO. Alon leads Partners500's
guidance and support for its companies, leveraging their ability to raise
capital, connecting them with renown experts in their target industries, and
guiding them in their negotiations with strategic partners and investors. Alon
brings with him 13 years of financial experience, including serving as the CFO
of Jerusalem Venture Partners (JVP), a leading VC fund. Prior to JVP, Alon was
the treasurer of Amdocs (Symbol DOX) and was part of the team that undertook one
of the largest private offerings in the Israeli high-tech industry. Alon also
headed the Treasury & Economics department of Urdan Industries, and served as
the CFO for several of Urdan's subsidiaries, including their R&D outfit. Until
recently, Alon acted as a business and financial adviser to companies in the IT
field.
Yossi Hasson, Co-Founder & Member of the Board. A renowned expert in
wireless technology and venture investment, Yossi leverages Partners500's
screening and market validation research processes. Yossi A Senior Vice
President of Nokia Venture Partners, has over 10 years of experience working
with, in, and around start-up and emerging businesses, as an investor and as an
operation manager. Immediately prior to joining Nokia Venture Partners, Yossi
worked in Intel Capital's wireless group as a senior strategic investment
manager. Prior to Intel, Yossi was a co-manager for one of the Israeli biggest
funds, which invested in the telecommunication and wireless technologies arena.
During that period he led investments and sat on boards and executive committees
of several hi-tech companies. Yossi graduated with honors from the unique and
prestigious program for exceptional students at the Tel Aviv University. He
holds a Masters in Economics and a B.A. in Computer Science and Economics from
the same university.
Jonathan Sohnis, Director of Technologies and Head of our New York
operation. Jonathan brings enormous added value and insight to Partners500's
companies, guiding them in their product design and development process.
Jonathan is a co-founder and president of Altronix Corporation - a high-tech
development and manufacturing company in electronics for industrial and
commercial markets worldwide, established in 1983. His main responsibilities
include business strategy and R&D development for new technologies. Jonathan's
experience spans 20+ years in the high-tech fields, helping establish and
consult on numerous companies in medical, electronics and IT fields. Jonathan
has consulted technically for such companies as Compaq Computers where he
designed the first multi-sync portable computer display system, and coordinated
production with Korean's Lucky Goldstar in Korea . In the last 17 years in his
position at Altronix, he has consulted on a wide spectrum of technology and
business/market planning in the gaming industry, computer, industrial and
medical devices. These efforts have all culminated in development, manufacturing
and market opportunities for Altronix. He is active in philanthropy and was
former chairman for the NY metro region of the American Technion Society
(1999-2001), is a member of the Technion Board of Governors and chairs the
national Computer and Communication Technology committee.
